110m naira released to end water scarcity in Gombe

In fulfilment of his campaign promises to the electorate, the Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has released the sum of 110 million Naira to address the water supply problems affecting residents of Wuro Juli, Tabra, Nayinawa, Kanoyel, Government Girls College Doma and Federal Low cost.

Governor Yahaya has directed the immediate commencement of pipe works to convey water from the upper zone reservoir to the above mention locations.

Some of these villages were disconnected by the Gombe State Water Board from having water supply due to various illegal connections.

When contacted on the issue the overseeing officer of the institution Eng. Abubakar Bappa confirmed to journalists that arrangement to solve the problem is ongoing.

The Governor while reading his inaugural speech in May, gave a directive to the Gombe State Water Board to make water available all over the state.
