2019 Election: Voting begins in Lafia

Elections have commenced in some pooling units in Lafiya, Nasarawa state capital, north-central Nigeria.

At Chiroma Ward, Kofar Fada Unit 001, election started at 8:00 on the dot.

At about 7:30 am, the INEC officials have concluded setting up and voters were seen eagerly waiting to cast their votes.

The Peoples Democratic Party, agent at the unit, Mr. Abubakar Usman, said he was satisfied with the preparations and voting pattern.

Similarly, Mr. Sibawaiti Yakubu, an agent of the All Progressive Congress, commended INEC, for improving on the lapses experienced during previous election.

Meanwhile, at Kofar Wambai Ward, election materials arrived at 8:05 am while voting started at 8:33 am.

Most of the voters said they were happy to vote for the candidates of their choice.
