2019 Hajj: NAHCON re-emphasise best services for pilgrims

National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has reemphasize on its commitment to ensure that this year Nigerian Pilgrims enjoy best services in the holy land.

The Madina Coordinator for the National Hajj Commission 2019 Hajj, Alhaji Ahmad Maigari gave the assurance during a meeting with various service providers in Madinah in preparation for the kick-off of the 2019 Hajj.

In a statement made available to newsmen, said the meeting was to ascertain the level of preparation by the service providers, in anticipation of the arrival of Nigerian Pilgrims that are scheduled to start arriving Madinah on the 10 July, 2019.

Maigari told the service providers that NAHCON staff would now serve as hotel managers in each accommodation secured for pilgrims in Madina for better service delivery.

According to him,the managers would also oversee the logistics needs of the pilgrims, and serve as the gateway between the pilgrims and their hotelier.

He however tasked the accommodation team to consolidate on the last year achievements.

Maigari re-iterated that “there will be no room for error this year, as you cannot go below what you achieved last year “

In a remark, the Managing Director, Al- Zuhdi Group Alsied Ahmad Zuhdi, assured Maigari of his readiness of service providers to serve Nigerian pilgrims in various capacities.

Abdulaziz Al-Oufi, General Manager, Al Andalus Company, who also promised Nigerian pilgrims satisfactory services, described the arrangement by NAHCON as a welcome development.

It could be recall that earlier, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON, Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar on Friday urged the official of the advance team of the commission to show commitment, and work in a team and maintain the sprit of brothers to achieve success in this year’s Hajj exercise.

According to him, team work was key in determine the success of the operation while urging them to work together to ensure 2019 hajj operation to be the best Nigerian pilgrims would witness.

Barrister Mukhtar further advised the officials to do everything possible within their power to ensure Nigerian pilgrims perform their Hajj happily, safely and return back to their families with all the joys and blessings.
