Popular Nigerian music star, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Face, on Tuesday, stormed the city of Lokoja, the Kogi State capital to sue for peace as the state prepares for its governorship election.

At VoteNotFight campaign held at the stadium in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital, the singer thrilled fans with performances of his music while urging the people to work to ensure a violence-free governorship election in November.

The music icon who is championing ‘Vote not fight, election no be war’ campaign said that he was in the state to preach peace and to see that youths were not used by fraudulent politicians for their selfish interest.

2face also paid a courtesy call to the Kogi State Governor Yahya Bello and was received by his Chief of Staff, and running mate, Edward Onoja.

He also visited the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, secretariat on his arrival to engage the top runners in the governorship race on the need for a peaceful poll.

He noted that the VoteNotFight campaign has mobilised over 62 million people in the country to drive the campaign for peace.

The African Queen crooner also stressed that, the ‘Vote not fight, election no be war’ campaign which was launched in 2014 was partnering with national and international agencies to further drive the campaign to a larger audience.

2Baba admonished the youths in the state to be good ambassadors of the country, adding that they were the future of the nation.

He further urged security agencies and INEC to be neutral in the discharge of their duties.
