A Governorship aspirant in Benue State on the platform of Action Alliance, Mr Akpur Emmanueli Terfa has given the assurance that his main focus would be on Agricultural development and youth empowerment.

He also assured the peaople of an unprecedented socio-economic change in the State if given the opportunity to lead the north central State.

Mr Terfa stated this on Saturday in Abuja when he picked the nomination form to contest in the governorship election in Benue State.

“Benue is acclaimed the food basket of the nation because of its rich and diverse agricultural produce, Benue has the best oranges in Nigeria but funny enough there is no single fruit juice company in the State” he noted.

“What about yam, our yams are the best in Africa, but our leaders have failed to take advantage of our abundant and blessed land” I will ensure there is conducive environment for industrialist to come and invest in Benue so that the youth can be gainfully employed” Terfa said.

“The other day I saw Adeyemi yam flower in Lagos and I asked myself how come Adeyemi is selling yam flower in packages in Lagos when Lagos land is not good for yam cultivation?  he queried.

Mr Terfa regretted that Benue status as an agricultural powerhouse has declined, but that he will turn around the state’s fortune if elected next year.

He urged the Benue youths to shun divisive tendencies and devote their time and energy towards changing the narrative of the political landscape in the State.

” The Benue youth must wake up from their slumber and participate actively in politics, they must troop out in numbers to vote for their future “ Terfa said.
