Africa has recorded over 118,000 confirmed cases of the #COVID19, according to the latest report released on Wednesday, 27 May, 2020, by the World Health Organization (WHO).
More than 48,000 have, however, recovered, while at least 3,500 have died from the #COVID19 on the continent.
South Africa still takes the lead with 24,264 confirmed cases, 12,741 recoveries and 524 deaths.
Algeria comes second with 8,697 infections, 4,918 recoveries and 617 fatalities.
Nigeria has 8,344 confirmed coronavirus cases, 2,385 have recovered, while 249 casualties have been recorded.
