Over 75,000 cases of the coronavirus have been recorded on the African continent, according to the World Health Organization.
More than 27,000, though, have recovered, with 2,500 deaths being reported.
South Africa still takes the lead with 12,739 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 238 fatalities.
Algeria is second, recording 6,442 cases and 529 deaths.
Ghana has 5,530 cases of the COVID-19 and a low death toll of 24.
Nigeria has reported 5,162 coronavirus positive cases and 167 fatalities. However, 1,180 have recovered and been discharged.
