African court to deliver judgements

The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights will deliver eight Judgments on November 28, 2019, at the close of its four-week sitting of the 55th Ordinary Session in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

The Court is composed of eleven Judges, drawn from  member States of the African Union elected in their individual capacity and meets four times a year in Ordinary Sessions and may hold Extra-Ordinary Sessions.

The African Court on Human and Peoples Right , AfCHPR was established by  Article 1 of the Protocol to the African Charter  to complement the protective mandate of the African Commission on

Human and Peoples’ Rights, with a view to enhancing the protection of human rights on the continent.

 The Judgments will be delivered on the following matters:
