Agency reiterates commitment to curb Cyber Crime

The Director General of National Information Technology Agency, NITDA, Mr Kashifu  Abdullahi has pledged to curb the menace of Cyber Crime and other related offenses in Nigeria.

Inuwa made the remark at an emergency meeting of Cyber security Critical Stakeholders at the Agency’s Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.

The meeting which was aimed at deliberating on effective strategies to securing the Cyber space had in attendance important stakeholders in the security sub sector.

The DG stressed that, “we need to put in place strategies and structures that will help in curbing the menace of cyber crime in the country. Thus, everything we do here at NITDA is for the growth and advancement of our Nation.”

Abdullahi while welcoming his audience expressed appreciation on the efforts made so far by critical stakeholders to arrest the menace of cyber crime and other related offenses in the past.

He added that there was an urgent need to change the perception of other countries about Nigeria and Nigerians saying it can only be achieved by developing the zeal to build back the confidence of investors in the country.
