The official malt drink of the Super Eagles, Amstel Malta has backed the national team to succeed at the 2018 World Cup, which begins in Russia on Thursday.
Nigerian Breweries signed a partnership deal with the Nigerian Football Federation in February conferring the right of “Official Malt Drink of all the Nigerian National Football Teams on Amstel Malta.”
“We are proud to announce that Amstel Malta together with over 180 million fans, is getting behind our best the Super Eagles,” Amstel said in a statement.
With the deal, the Eagles through the NFF will enjoy marketing and promotional support courtesy Amstel Malta.
“Amstel Malta is proud to be associated with the Nigerian Football Federation and by extension the Super Eagles. The brand also promises to provide support to players and create delightful experiences for football fans leveraging the football event,” Portfolio Manager, Non-Alcoholic Brands, Nigerian Breweries, Ngozi Nkwoji, said.
She added that Amstel Malta would join fans and consumers to cheer the Eagles and the other national football teams before, during and after their international matches.
This is the sixth time Nigeria will qualify for the tournament. Nigeria is in Group D and will battle Croatia, Iceland and Argentina.
