The three Division of the Nigerian Army has launched operation “AYEM AKPATUMA II exercise” (operation Cat Rase) hosted by the headquarters of 23 Brigade in Jalingo, Taraba State.
The operation “Cat Rase” which is in collaboration with sisters para-military organisations is aimed at curbing the security threat of kidnapping, Terrorism and cattle restyling amongst others.
Speaking at the event, the Commanding Officer of the 3 Division Major General Nuhu Angbazo said the spared of kidnapping, banditry and other crime would be a thing of the past before the end of the “AYEM AKPATUMA II exercise” (operation Cat Rase) in Taraba State and the country at large.
“This is not the first time we are launching this type of operation but I am assuring you that with the contingency plans we have on ground peace will be restored in the state better than before”
He stressed that the collaboration with other sister agencies would be more easier to clamp down on the perpetrators of crimes in the State.
On his part the Governor of the Taraba state Mr. Darius Ishaku Dickson said he is confidence that the launching of “AYEM AKPATUMA II” (operation Cat Rase) will restore peace in the State.
“My administration have invested so much into security in the state and we will continue to invest until we get rid of crimes and restore peace in the State.
The Governor also commissioned twenty six motorcycle Bike for the Army to further assist in the fight against crime in the State.
The three months operation “AYEM AKPATUMA” Exercise (operation Cat Rase) is launched in some States in the northern part of Nigeria to curtail the security threat of kidnapping, Banditry and other criminal activities prevalent in the northern region.
