Association of Proprietors instils Patriotism in Children


Children in Nigeria have been urged to be patriotic in their approach to national and community issues so as to move Nigeria to greater heights.

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, NAPPS Karu Chapter in Nasarawa State gave the charge to mark the 2018 Children’s Day which took place in May.

The association also advised the children to shun Examination Malpractices , Drug Abuse, Cultism and Bullying among other vices.

The Co-ordinator of NAPPS, Mrs Mary Bassey said the motto of the association indicates nurturing for national development.

“We are always delightful to nurture, care, show the way and bring you children up to face the challenges and prospects of the future, indeed you may be children today but tomorrow’s leader”

“My dear children I encourage you to flee from every appearance of evil shin examination malpractices, drug abuse cultism ,bullying among other vices and you will forever be responsible citizens of this great country” she stated.

The NAPPS Coordinator said a total child is built academically, spiritually, morally, physically, mentally and socially.

A member of NAPPs and the Proprietor of Country Model School who hosted eighteen other schools on the Children’s Day Celebration, Seth Alhassan Karfe called on the Nigerian government to give recognition to Children.

Karfe urged the government and all stakeholders to show that children are very important.

He said the association will sustain the tradition of gathering the children together for the celebration of their day annually.

Another Proprietor, of Zanang Victory school, Jummai C Peters said it was good for children to come together on children’s Day, she added this  will allow children to learn from each other.

She encouraged parents to continually allow their children to participate in such events to restore old tradition and previous ways of celebrating Children’s day.
