Azeez, Agu back in Super Eagles squad for Brazil friendly

Barring a late minute change of mind the duo of Ramon Azeez of Granada of Spain and Mikel Agu of Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes will be in the squad of the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the friendly game against Brazil, can exclusively reveal.

The duo have been scouted extensively by coach Gernot Rohr with Agu who missed out on the last squad for the game against Ukraine due to injury now back to his best for Vitoria Guimaraes in the league and also Europa League.

He set a new record of interceptions in the last round of games in the Europa League and that has no doubt put him in the frame for a call up for the game against Brazil on the 13th of October.

Azeez has caught the eyes of the German coach of the Super Eagles with his performance for newly promoted Granada, a feat he capped with a goal against Barcelona last weekend in their shock 2-0 win over the league champions.

Rohr has been monitoring the midfielder since his days in the Spanish second division and his performance in the top flight has further cemented his spot in the mind of the coach ahead of the Brazil game.
