The Chairman of FCT Football Coaches Association, Godwin Bamigboye, has advised Nigerian coaches to strive to develop themselves the way former national under-17 male team coach Emmanuel Amuneke has done.
Bamigboye said that the former Super Eagles player had been developing himself to enhance his proficiency in his chosen career.
“Amuneke has distinguished himself as a former player for the Super Eagles and as a coach.
“He is a disciplined and courageous coach, and he has made the country proud as coach of the Golden Eaglets by winning the 2015 FIFA U-17 Men’s World Cup in Chile.
“So, I will advise coaches in the FCT and the country in general to be hardworking and be dedicated to their duties.
“They should always update themselves on the modern coaching techniques in order to excel,’’ he said.
Amuneke was appointed recently as head coach of the Tanzanian senior national team, the Taifa Stars.
The former Nigeria international featured for Zamalek FC of Egypt, Sporting Lisbon FC, Portugal and FC Barcelona of Spain during an illustrious playing career.
