Barcelona have signed French International Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid, after meeting the €120million release clause in his contract.
Griezmann has been linked with a move to the Nou Camp for several seasons but opted to remain at Atletico last summer, revealing his decision in a half-hour long documentary called ‘The Decision’ on Spanish TV channel Movistar.
The 28-year-old World Cup winner has signed a five-year deal which includes an €800million release clause.

He went on to lift the World Cup with France but he continued to be linked with Barcelona and speculation over a possible move intensified following the Catalan giants shock defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final.
In May he announced that he would be leaving Atletico but his move to Barcelona was only confirmed once the €120million buyout clause had been paid.
Griezmann moved to Atletico from Real Sociedad in 2014 and during his five seasons with the club he won the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup, scoring 133 goals in 252 appearances.
The 2018 World Cup winner becomes the world’s sixth most expensive signing behind Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Philippe Coutinho, Joao Felix and Ousmane Dembele.
He becomes Barca’s fourth major signing of the summer, following the acquisition of midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Ajax, goalkeeper Neto from Valencia and defender Emerson from Brazilian side Atletico-MG.
