Bauchi Guber election inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral commission in Bauchi state has declared the just concluded gubernatorial election inconclusive.

The State Returning Officer,  professor Kyiari Mohammed who is also the Vice Chancellor of Moddibo Adama University of Technology Adamawa State, made the declaration at the Collation center in Bauchi.

He noted that the margin of lead between the PDP with 469,512 votes and the APC with 465, 453 is 4059 votes.

The number of cast votes without the results of Tafawa Balewa local government area is 45,312 and the number of registered voters in the affected polling units of Tafawa Balewa polling units is 139,240″ he said.

“Therefore and in line with section 26 and 53 of the electoral act and because the machine of lead is not in excess of the total number of registered voters in declare this election inconclusive”, the electoral officer added.
