Bauchi Pilgrims Board commences 2019 Hajj operations


Bauchi state government has expressed its commitment to accord priority towards ensuring a successful conduct of the 2019 hajj operations.

The special adviser on pilgrims Affairs, Hon Isa Babayo Tilde gave the assurance while declaring open a one day workshop organized for Local Government Hajj Affair Officers and state pilgrims welfare Board officials which held at the conference Hall of Board.

Hon. Babayo Tilde emphasized that the administration of Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad is committed to becoming a pace setter in the organization of hajj exercise.

He said that arrangements have been made for the construction of a modern hajj camp with plans at ensuring proper wellbeing of Bauchi State intending Pilgrims during hajj operations.

He called on the participants to make good use of the knowledge acquired during the workshop and urged them to rededicate themselves to their duties to ensure a hitch free hajj exercise.

Hon. Tilde also used the occasion to call for continued prayers for the Bala Abdulkadir administration to adequately tackle the challenges ahead.

The acting executive secretary of the Board Mal. Alkasim Danlami, said that the exercise shall be successful due to the positive responses from this present administration.

He disclosed that the Governor has approved the commencement for the collection of the 2020 hajj deposit effective from Friday, 15th November, 2019.

Adding that all intending pilgrims are expected to pay 1.5m at three installment (N500,000 each) as deposits before the end of March 2020.

Highlight of the occasion was the distribution of hajj deposit receipts and other financials books to 20 local governments Hajj affair Officers in the state.
