Boxing: ‘Usyk is a no name,’ says Tyson Fury

Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has shared his opinion on a potential bout against Oleksandr Usyk. The Gypsy King does not see any sense in a potential boxing bout against Ukrainian boxer

“Usyk is not on my list, he is a no name,” said Fury. “No one is interested in him, it does not make any money with him. Why would I want to fight him? I am not interested.”

“He is a small cruiserweight, a foreigner, does not speak good English and nobody is really interested. I want big fights that people are interested in. And that is not one of them.”

According to Gypsy King, a bout against Usyk will not make any sense even if he beats Anthony Joshua.

“Still, he will not be a big fight. He is still a foreigner in the Westernized world. The belts are back in the West, and they are going to stay there,” Fury added.

“Whatever it sounds like, the heavyweight champion should be from Britain or America, nowhere else.”
