CAA 2018: Botswana wins 400m men’s gold, Nigeria bronze

Botswana’s Baboloki Thebe has won the men’s 400 metres final to take home the gold medal, while Nigeria’s Chidi Okezie picked bronze at the ongoing 2018 African Senior Athletics Championship in Asaba, Delta state.

Thebe finished ahead of other competitors clocking 44.79 seconds.

South Africa’s Thapelo Phore was not far off as he finished second ahead of Nigeria’s Chidi Okezie, who grabbed bronze.

As at the commencement of Friday’s events and before the 400 metres men’s final, Nigeria was leading the overall medals table two golds, one silver and bronze medals each.
