Lobi Stars forward, Sikiru Alimi, has promised to give his best when Nigeria square up against the Sparrow Hawks of Togo on Sunday (today) in Lome in the first leg, second round qualifier of the 2020 African Nations Championship in Cameroon.
The Nigerian team arrived Lome on Friday in preparation for the game and Alimi, who received his first national team call up for the game, is hopeful of a dream debut.
“I’m extremely happy to have been called up to represent my country, it is every player’s dream.
“I guess my hard work and dedication has finally paid off. I will surely give my best when called upon,” he said.
Alimi scored for goals in four apearances for Lobi Stars in the CAF Champions League last season.
