Civil  Defence deploys 1200 personnel for Eid celebration in Sokoto

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC Sokoto State command has deployed 1200 personnel to take care of strategic areas across the State during the eid celebration and beyond.

State Commandant of the Corp, Mr Umar Musa Bala, said this when he was speaking to Voice of Nigeria correspondent.

Mr Bala said the command has concluded all arrangement to put it personnel across all the State to ensure hitch free celebration.

“The command is deploying one thousand two hundred personnel of the command to control and maintain peaceful atmosphere during the eid and beyond”. The Commandant said.

Operational Vehicles
He explained that enough operational vehicles were provided in collaboration with the State government to ensure successes during the operation in some strategic areas.

“specifically vehicle were provided by the command in synergy with state government which is to be use in some flashy areas to ensure full reinforcement,” he said.

The Commandant said the Command would continue to collaborate with other sister security agencies to ensure sustainable peaceful coexistence across the twenty three local government areas of the State.

Mr Bala commended the State government for the support giving to the agency in ensuring it carryout it constitutional mandates effectively.

He called on all meaningful Nigerians particularly those living in the State to continue to be law abiding and cooperate with security agencies in providing them with relevant information that would assist to maintain peace.

He also called on all citizens to do their celebration in accordance with laws and pray for peaceful coexistence in the country.

The Commandant wished all Muslims a Happy Eid-El-Kabir in advance.
