The collation of results of the governorship and state house of assembly elections have begun in Nasarawa state.

The results are being announced by the Nasarawa state Returning Officer, Prof. Abdullahi Bala.

Agents of political parties have mixed reactions about the results.

Most of them tried to disrupt the announcement to table their grievances but the Nasarawa state Returning Officer, Prof. Abdullahi Bala, urged them to hold on to their complaints till after the announcements.

In an interview with Voice of Nigeria’s correspondent, some the party agents speak of the observations.

The Agent of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Aliyu Bello, said he is comfortable with results announced so far.

“So far so good, my party is comfortably leading,” he said.

He said that the party awaits final collation.

The story is not the same with the People’s Democratic Party agent, Mr. Yakubu Dauda.

He said that there are a lot of abnormalities.

“Yes, there are a lot of abnormalities. We raised the complaint right from at the pooling units. That’s why we felt we should come and tender out grievances,” he said.

For the Agent of the Labour Party and Chairman inter Party Advisory Committee, Mr. Umar Abdullahi Agibi, the election of yesterday was better conducted.

He commended the conduct of the election across the states.

“The performance of INEC was better yesterday compared to the previous one,” he said.

Meanwhile, the agent of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Mr. Bala Moses John, said that there were lots of cases of irregularities.

He said that there were cases of intimidations, ballot box snatching in some of the local government announced.

The results collation continues.
