Commander Artillery Corps commends Army Chief for facilities upgrade

Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai,

The Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, has been commended for his urgent intervention in upgrading Artillery facilities across Army formations in the country.

The Commander, Nigeria Army Corps of Artillery Kontagora, Niger State, North-Central Nigeria, Major General Usman Shehu Yakubu stated this during the commissioning of some projects at the Nigerian Army School of Artillery in Kachia as part of activities lined up to commemorate the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2020.

In a statement by Captain Mohammed Mai-Dawa, The Assistant-Director Public relation of the Artillery Corps, The Commander expressed delight over the ongoing transformation in the School by the Nigerian Army Chief.

While commending the COAS, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, for his strategic directives and intervention in the numerous activities of the Nigerian Army Artillery Corps, Major-General Yakubu, further enjoined officers, and Soldiers to ensure the facilities provided are kept in order.

Some of the intervention projects by the COAS include the ongoing construction of the school new headquarters which is nearing completion, the modified Officers’ Mess, student’s hostels and officers and soldiers living accommodation among others.

Present at the occasion was the Commandant of the school, Major General TA Gagariga, Deputy Commandant, and other senior military officers.

The Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, LT General Tukur Buratai, has recently embarked on the commissioning of projects across the Nation.
