COVID-19: Brazil death toll hits 20,000

Brazil’s death toll from coronavirus has passed 20,000, with over 300,000 cases of the virus recorded.

This has made the country become the third-most in the world with the number of coronavirus, adding fears that the Latin American country could become the pandemic’s next epicenter.

The growth in the total number of coronavirus cases in Brazil is significantly reducing the gap with Russia, which has the second-largest number of coronavirus cases in the world.

Over 5 million confirmed infections have been recorded worldwide
