With nine days to the highly anticipated Cycling Lagos 2018, the organisers have urged interested participants to ensure that they entered for the event before its online registration portal for cyclists would close on August 10.
Bamidele Adeleye, Spokesman for the event, scheduled to begin on Aug. 25, said the programme would begin with activities for children at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
“The online registration can be completed on http://www.cyclinglagos.com/register and has been going on from July 20 to Aug. 10.
“The online platform is open to five categories of participants: Professional, Celebrity, Children, Club/Veteran and Amateur.
“Corporate organisations and celebrities are expected to contact the organisers via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 09099575027 to register for the Corporate Race and Celebrity Race respectively,” Adeleye said.
He added that the event would start on Aug. 18 with many kids being engaged in cycling and other sports.
The Chairman, Cycling Lagos, Mr Soji Adeleye, urged interested participants to complete their registration as soon as possible as limited slots were available for the races.
He advised interested participants to also take advantage of the alternative registration form on the website, which could be downloaded to ease their registration.
“The competition which will involve over 1,000 cyclists from within and outside Nigeria has been described by the organisers as one of the biggest sports, tourism and entertainment event in the country,’’ Adeleye said.

“In addition, the Professional Race of the event will start from the magnificent surrounding of the marquee hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
