Demand for refined fuel products rises rapidly in Vietnam

Demand for refined fuel products is rising rapidly  in Vietnam  as output of two refineries in the second quarter is expected to rise 7% from the first quarter to 3.03 million tonnes on recovering demand, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical said on Monday.

Binh Son’s 130,000-barrel-per-day Dung Quat refinery will produce 1.53 million tonnes, while the Nghi Son Refinery will produce 1.50 million tonnes in the April-June period, the company said.

Demand for refined fuel products is rising rapidly,” its deputy chief executive, Nguyen Viet Thang, said in a statement.

Traders said demand for fuel in Vietnam is recovering after it started easing coronavirus movement restrictions last month.
