Coach of the super eagles Gernot Rohr says Nigerians should not panic over their loss to Czech Republic in their last warm up game before the start of the World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria were beaten 0-1 by a Czech Republic in a rain-soaked encounter played at the Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion in Austria
Despite the worrying reactions from Nigerian fans, Rohr insisted there was no cause for alarm.
“I don’t worry about friendly results. We are not ready now for the World Cup but we will be ready”, Rohr said after the game.
“We’ve 9 days to be ready for our 1st match vs Croatia, as at today we are not ready. I am not sad because of this result, the result that matters will be in Russia.”
Nigeria are in group D and will confront Argentina, Croatia and debutante Iceland for a right to the knock-out stage of the world cup.
