One of the formation tested by the Super Eagles during their close door session yesterday is the style coach of Liverpool Jurgen Klopp calls ‘Ghen Ghen ‘ pressing
Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr is yet to settle on a particular system of play for the Nigerian team ahead of their game against Croatia on Saturday and yesterday saw them try out new formations.
The 4-3-3 formation was heavily practised by the team with the constant pressing from up the field used in the session which lasted a little over an hour at their training base in Essentuki.
Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was very pivotal in the system with a special role given to him to make sure opponents are not allowed space and time to pick out a pass. An instruction he easily interpreted thanks to his high work rate.
It wasn’t the only formation rehearsed by the team yesterday as coach Rohr continue to work on possible formations to be used for the game on Saturday against Croatia.
