A 4.2-magnitude earthquake and its aftershocks has hit Los Angeles area early on Thursday morning, but there were no immediate reports of damage.
The United States Geological Survey showed that the earthquake struck just over a mile north of Pacoima, a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley, at about 4:30 a.m. local time.
It was the largest earthquake in that area since a 4.4-magnitude one struck in March 2014. A Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman, Norma Eisenman, said there were no immediate reports of damage
Meanwhile, a number of celebrities who were jolted awake by the tremors shared their reactions on Twitter.
My preparedness for an earthquake is the same as the US government for COVID-19. None.

My children are in my arms and we are awake too early because of that earthquake but now they’re discussing how their ninja skills would totally help in this time 🤣💁🏼♀️ I’m just happy they’re more interested and curious about it and less scared. Hallelujah! https://t.co/MHm925Ezd6
