Eid-al-Adha: Cleric urges Muslims to pray for peace, security

The Chief Imam of Gome State, Sheikh Umar Muhammadu Pindiga, has urged Muslims to pray for peace, security and economic development in Gombe State and the entire nation.

Sheikh Pindiga made the call during a sermon after observing the Raka’at prayers.

Sheikh Pindiga who explained the importance of the prayers and the slaughtering of a ram as sacrifice at this period noted that “doing so is the practice of Prophet Muhammad”.

The Imam also called on Muslims who had opportunity to slaughter animals to share it with family, the needy and even neighbours that are not Muslims.
