Eid-al-Adha: Osun Governor urges Muslims to emulate virtues of Prophet Ibrahim

Governor of Osun state, Gboyega Oyetola has urged all Muslim faithful in the country to emulate Prophet Ibrahim and live a life of love, justice, sacrifice and total obedience to the will of Allah, the very essence of Eid-al-Adha.

Oyetola who gave the advice noted that observance of such virtues would help take the state and country to the Promised Land.

The governor also called on Muslims and all Nigerians to only make promises they intended to fulfil.

“The Eid-el Kabir has no doubt presented another opportunity for us as Muslims and indeed all Nigerians to reflect on the state of affairs in the country and walk in the right direction to turn the fortunes of the state and the country around.

 “I congratulate the Muslim Ummah and I urge them to emulate the great virtues of Prophet Ibrahim of total obedience, love, justice, and self-sacrifice, which is the whole essence of this celebration. As Muslims, we must ensure that we make only promises that we know we can keep.

 “I have no doubt that with prayers and the right attitude and policies that our administration has so far brought to bear, our state will emerge stronger, going forward.”

The governor wished Nigerians a happy eid-al-Adha and the best as the nation strives to get to the next level of greatness.
