Kano command of the Nigeria Police has assured residents of the State of adequate deployment of policemen to ensures a peaceful conduct and celebration of the Eid-al-Adha celebrations
A statement signed by the spokesman of the command DSP Haruna Abdulahi stated that various praying grounds, recreational centres, Markets, roads, motor parks, highways and other public places will be provided adequate security to safeguard life and properties.
“Worshippers going to Eid grounds are to avoid carrying unnecessary objects that may trigger apprehension or suspicion.”
“People attending recreational centres during the Sallah celebrations should be extra vigilant by taking good cognizance of people and objects around them and report any suspicious movement or item to security agencies. “
Under aged children and unlicensed persons are not allowed to operate Motor Vehicles, Tricycles and Bicycles before, during and after the festive period.
Parents and guardians should always accompany their children with adults that will guide them so as to checkmate cases of missing children, accidents or any unsolicited dealings,” he cautioned
He said that the Command is into strong synergy with sister security agencies, to ensure free flow of vehicles and general safety of life and property during the celebrations.
He added that rigorous Patrols and raids to compliment *Operation Puff Adder* will continue to avert any breach of the peace by criminals and miscreants throughout the state.
Meanwhile, the Federal road safety corps Kano State Command says it has deployed 956 FRSC Regular and Special Marshals, 14 patrol Vehicles, 2 Ambulances and 1 heavy duty Tow truck for the Sallah special operations.
The Public Relations Officer of the command Kabir Ibrahim, sad the patrol teams will sanction anyone found committing any traffic infractions.
He said the Command has equally deployed standby teams for emergency rescue services, and a heavy duty Tow truck for prompt removal of obstructions during the festive period.
