The Adamawa State Police Command has assured the state of adequate security during and after the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olugbenga Adeyanju, said the police had deployed surveillance and intelligence assets, in a proactive and robust anti-crime measures, to prevent any unpleasant incidents in the State.
Mr. Adeyanju congratulated all Muslims in the state for successfully concluding the Ramadan period of self-denial, aimed at attaining wholesomeness, reinforcement of belief with the collective perseverance of citizens.
He commended the residents’ voluntary compliance with the prevention regulations put in place by Governments at all levels during the celebration of this year’s Eid al-Fitr.
The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State however reminded the people of the state that the COVID-19 prevention regulation orders were still in force, including the restriction of inter-state movement, national curfew and restriction orders by Governments in some areas of state.
He said with that, citizens should observe the Eid celebrations bearing in mind the unusual times occasioned by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, because the police would leave no stone unturned towards the due enforcement of the orders.
