Emir seeks quality Education for the poor

The Emir of Kano, Mohammad Sanusi the second has emphasised on the need for urgent attention in providing quality education to the less privileged as well as provision of employment to the youths.

The monarch made the call in a sermon shortly after the Eid el Fitr prayers at kofar Mata Eid Ground in Kano State.

“I urge those in Authority, parents , the community and all stakeholders, to expedite action in providing quality education for the less privilege especially children roaming about the streets.”

“There is urgent need to provide employment for the teeming youths in Kano to tame associated crimes and drug abuse,” Sanusi advised.

Sanusi prayed to Allah to accept all the individual and group prayers made by Muslim Ummah during the month of Ramadan and urged them to seek peace, unity, love for one another.

Kano State Governor Dr. Umar Ganduje, the deputy and other dignitaries were at the Eid prayer ground were the emir delivered the sermon.

Living Peaceful
The Governor urged all Muslims to continue to live a peaceful life equivalent to the ways they conducted themselves during the fasting period and keep on contributing to the meaningful development of the State.

Governor Ganduje appreciated the show of good virtues by Muslims during the Month of Ramadhan. Calling on all “…to maintain the good virtues that were inculcated into their minds and exhibited through good behaviour and manners, which culminated from the teachings of the religious practice of Ramadan.”

“During our days in the Month of Ramadhan it appeared to all how people became more of their brothers keepers. This and many other decent characters need to be maintained. So that people get overhaul of their general behaviour,” Ganduje said.

He commended people for praying hard for the peace and tranquillity of Kano State in particular and the country in general.

“We are aware how patriotic our people were, and still are, in praying for the peaceful coexistence in our state and corporate existence of our dear nation,” the Governor said.

Emirate Councils
He commended the five emirate councils in the State for coordinating the affairs of the Ramadan.

Ganduje said as he took the second Oath of Office as the governor of Kano, during the Month of Ramadan, he hopes that, he starts with sound and blissful footing. “With Allah’s power we shall have peaceful and productive second tenure,” he said.

The four newly created emirate namely, Gaya, Rano, Kibiya and Bichi conducted their Eid el Fitr prayers at their various domain equally seeking peace and unity of the people and the nation.

The annual spiritual event was conducted in a peaceful atmosphere with a lot of security presence to curtail the unforeseen.
