England’s Trippier speaks about his ‘World Cup memories’

Kieran Trippier, England’s full-back at the Russia 2018 World Cup was one of the stand-out players for the three lions.

His sensational free kick against Croatia in the semi-finals still stands out.

But despite his “bend-it-like-Beckham” exploits, England lost 2-1 after extra-time.

For the 26 year old Tottenham Hotspurs regular, the defeat eclipses his exploits.

He admits however that he has watched his free kick”about 100 times”.

“I’m not going to lie to you, I’ve watched it back about 100 times.

“Obviously, I enjoyed that moment but even now it still hurts that we got beat. But I did watch it back about 100 times I’m not going to lie to you,” he says.
Trippier will be on duty Saturday for the Three Lions against Spain in their UEFA Nations League opener.

He is expected to play a part in the friendly encounter against Switzerland on Monday.
