Environmental beautification: 50 graduates get training in Bayelsa

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Bayelsa has disclosed that no fewer than 50 graduates have benefited from its 2018 environmental beautification training scheme in the state. Dr. Nasiru Argungu, Director-General of NDE, disclosed this in Yenagoa at the disbursement of resettlement loans to the beneficiaries.

Argungu, represented by Mr. Aham Osuchukwu, Bayelsa Coordinator of NDE, said the 50 beneficiaries were trained on soft and hard landscaping and plaster of Paris (POP), adding that they were selected from all the local governments in the state.

He congratulated the entrepreneurs for their sense of responsibility, independence, self-realisation and capability for self-actualisation and fulfilment.

The NDE boss urged them to build on the confidence of a brighter tomorrow, motivated by empowerment in the training they had received.

One of the beneficiaries expressed happiness with the training, pledging to support the NDE programme for job creation and empowerment.
