Equities market on a three-day fall

For the third consecutive time this week, trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange have closed on the negative.
On Monday, both All Share Index and Market Capitalisation fell by 0.31%, on Tuesday, it was by 0.01%.
Then today, Wednesday, the market closed with a fall of 0.67%. While the Market Capitalisation closed on Wednesday at N11,592 trillion Naira as against Tuesday’s closing of N11,671trillion Naira, falling by 79 billion Naira or 0.67%.
The All Share Index left the 31 thousand range to closed at 30,829.45 basis points, as against Tuesday’s closing of 31,038.86 basis points, making a fall of 209.41 basis points or 0.67%.
11 stocks made gains while 19 stocks declined as a total volume of trades stood at 131 million shares valued at 1.4 billion Naira in 2,786.00 deals.
Union Diagnostics and Clinics Service opened at 0.30kobo per share to close at 0.33kobo, gaining 0.03kobo or 10.00 per cent.
Next is CUTIX PLC which opened at N1.85kobo and closed at  N2.03 kobo per share, gaining 0.18 kobo or 9.73 per cent.
Followed by MEDVIEW AIRLINE PLC with an opening price of N1.70kobo and a closing price of N1.80 kobo per share, gaining 0.10 kobo or 5.88 per cent.
Leading the losers’ table is N.E.M INSURANCE PLC which commenced today’s trading activities at N2.35 kobo but closed at N2.22 kobo, fell by 0.13 kobo or 5.53 per cent.
Taking the second top losers’ position is STANBIC IBTC HOLDINGS PLC, it opened transactions at N48.50 kobo and closed at N46.00, declining by N2.50 kobo or 5.15 per cent.
On the third position is FLOUR MILL NIGERIA PLC with an opening price of N18.95 kobo per share and a closing of N18.00 kobo per share, falling by 0.95 kobo or 5.01per cent.
On the other hand, the Bonds Market closed with a market capitalisation of N10,637 trillion Naira, while the Exchange Traded Funds closed with a Market Capitalisation of N5,650 billion Naira.
