The Toffees boss were soundly beaten by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon, going down 3-1 with barely a whimper.
That was the second away match in succession that Everton have lost, after going down 2-0 at Aston Villa in their previous one, and Silva has told his players they have to sort out their travel problems.
The Toffees barely conceded a goal in pre-season, and began in that manner when the real stuff started, but they have looked very open in their latest outings and that is becoming a real concern.
The disappointing thing for Everton at Bournemouth was that it was their own mistakes that gifted their hosts the three goals they scored, and the Portuguese boss has come out with stern words having not liked what he saw.
Everton manager Marco Silva has sent a warning to his players, telling them they have a lot of work to do if they are to fulfil their potential this season.
“We didn’t deserve more when you make mistakes like we did. The three goals were our fault. Cheap goals.”
“We have to become again that solid team otherwise it will be hard to win games. We have to address fast these types of mistakes.
