Fire breaks out at the World Trade Centre in Abuja

There has been a fire outbreak at the rooftop of the World Trade Centre in Abuja.

Smoke could be seen billowing from one of the buildings on Monday, mid morning.

At least three fire service trucks were deployed as men of the Federal Fire Service scurried to the scene of the fire outbreak.

At about 2.30pm the Federal Fire Service tweeted that it had put out the fire.

An official of the company managing the facility, Mr Ibukun Adeogun explained that the Fire occurred at about 11.30 a.m.

Mr. Adeogun however said that the Fire did not cause any damage.

The World Trade Centre located in the Central Business District (CBD) in the Federal Capital territory has more than 30 floors.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
There is also no report yet about anyone being injured in the fire.
