An agriculturist, Dr Tony Bello, says that Africa is rising and the Africa industrial agricultural revolution taking place in Nigeria will help to unlock prosperity in the country.

Bello, said this at the ongoing Feed Nigeria Summit 2019, tagged: “Unlocking Prosperity through Partnerships’’ holding in Abuja.

Bello, who is the Managing Director of a U.S.-based firm, Shine Bridge Global, said that there were partnerships already undertaken by the private sector players in the cassava value chain.

Nigeria’s latest efforts in cassava root vegetables transformation into high-value industrial food ingredients and conveniently packaged food products for the global consumer markets is being featured at the 3rd Edition of FNS.

“Two US-based agribusiness companies, Shine Bridge Global Inc., Chesapeake Beach, Virginia and Fayus Inc., with two Nigeria-based agribusinesses like Elephant Group Plc. and Pacific Ring West Africa (PRWA) have unveiled innovations.

“They unveiled the strategic partnership to export High-Quality Cassava Flour (HQCF) or Tapioca Flour from Nigeria to the U.S. for making gluten-free food products for human and animal consumption.

“We are determined to partner with local Nigeria agribusinesses and other U.S. food and agricultural companies to transform cassava into functional flour for making gluten-free consumer foods for humans and animals in Africa, North America and Europe,” Bello said.

We are leveraging strategic partnerships to unlock prosperity in Edo State under the transformational leadership of the Gov. Godwin Obaseki and the CBN Governor, Dr Godwin Emiefele, and the Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing system for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL).

“Africa is rising and I am confident of the Africa industrial agricultural revolution taking place in Nigeria as presented by these strategic partners to unlock prosperity in Nigeria.”

Bello through his firm has pioneered many partnerships with international and local agro firms.
