Former Head of State tells Nigerians to remain law abiding

Nigeria's former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar has called on all Nigerians irrespective of ethnicity or religious background to remain law abiding.

General Abubakar also urged “Nigerians to go out enmass and register with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to obtain Permanent Voter Card in order to take part in the 2019 general election.’’

He stated this in an interview with journalist after the Eid Kabir Prayer at Minna Central Mosque of Niger state North Central Nigeria.

General Abubakar also called on politician to play by the rules during the electioneering period for peace to continue to reign in the country.

The Niger State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ketso reiterated the commitment of the state government in ensuring provision of social amenities and infrastructure development to the citizens.

Alhaji Ketso also urged the people to get their voter card ahead of 2019 election.
