Former INEC commissioner picks Bayelsa governorship form

The former Cross River State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Frankland Briyai, has picked up the Bayelsa State Governorship form at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

The interest and nomination forms were purchased for twenty-two million, five hundred thousand naira. (N22,500.000) by the Dr. Frankland Briyai political team known as Bayelsa Grassroots Development Initiative (BGDI).

The forms were handed over to Dr.Briyai by the APC National Organizing Secretary, Honourable Emmanuel Ibediro and the National Vice Chairman North-Central,  Suleiman Umar Wambai, who stood in on behalf of the National Chairman of APC, Adam Oshiomhole.

He told journalists: “I will ensure that my youths in Bayelsa State will have good human capacity development. I need to keep these kids busy, we know that some children are gifted and some are talented.”

“For those of them that will be going to school, they should be ready to go overseas for studies because Bayelsa State has enough resources to send almost all our youths abroad.

He also said that his government would improve security in the state as well as revive the agricultural and energy sectors.

Dr. Frankland Briyai is the fifth APC candidate to purchase the Bayelsa State governorship form in the state.

The Bayelsa State governorship election will come up on the 16th of November, in the oil-rich state in southern Nigeria.
