Rangers International Football Club of Enugu thrashed amateur club Ingas FC of Enugu 4-0 in preparation for Sunday’s upcoming clashwith Kano Pillars FC.
Rangers will host Kano Pillars in a Match Day 10 fixture in the 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Rangers dominated the game’s proceedings in the match’s first half and took the lead through Godwin Aguda’s 35th minute goal.
Christian Madu increased the tally just before the interval with a well-taken shot from outside the penalty area.
Rangers resumed the game after the interval with a fresh set of 11 players and started from where they stopped after Kelvin Itoya smashed the ball past the opponents’ defenceline.
Godwin Zaki made it 4-0 in the 88th minute.
The amateur club wasted an opportunity to make it 4-1 from a penalty kick when the centre referee awarded them a penalty kick in the 90th minute.
Rangers who still have an outstanding match with Plateau United presently occupy the eighth position on the NPFL table with 13 points from eight matches.
