General Babangida gets praises at 78

Former military President of Nigeria, General Ibrahim Babangida shines at 78.

Former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida has been described as one of the best leaders in the history of Nigeria.

The former Governor of Niger State, Dr Babangida Aliyu stated this while congratulating the former Military President on his 78th birthday in Minna, the State Capital.

Dr Aliyu said; ”most of General Babangida’s policies have  been of immense benefits to many sectors in the country.”

Offering advises
According to him, ”General Babangida had been offering valuable advice to both the state and national governments which has translated to delivery of dividends of democracy to the populace and good governance.”

Good virtues
Dr Aliyu appealed to other Nigerians in the category of General Babangida to always emulate his good virtues so that posterity would have positive stories to write about them.

The Senator representing Niger-east Senatorial Zone, Sani Musa also described the former Military President, General Babangida as a bridge builder, a nation builder, peace maker and nationalist” who has continued to “champion the unity and indivisibility of Nigeria.”

”General Babangida has remained an inspiration to many, especially young politicians who continue to draw inspiration from his leadership qualities and charisma.

“He is indeed a leader whose influence traverses the shores of Nigeria. While he was the President he played a great role in the unity of Africa,” Senator Musa said.
