Ghana, Ivory Coast to approve cocoa export volumes for 2019

Ghana and Ivory Coast are set to agree on the volume and timing of cocoa exports by August for the 2019/20 season in an effort to increase producer profits in both countries.

According to the head of Ghana’s Cocobod, Joseph Boahen Aidoo, they have also agreed to harmonize the forward sales of cocoa export contracts, told reporters.

Separately, Ghana would uproot 400,000 hectares of cocoa infected by swollen shoot disease, Cocobod and its Ivorian counterpart.
