The Gombe State Police Command has handed over a herd of cattle recovered last month from suspected rustlers, who could not account for the 35 cows in their custody.

Alhaji Umar said the cattle of about 70 cows were stolen from Gindin Doruwa, Mararaba Bayisa, Donga Local Government Area of Taraba State during a communal clash between the Kuteb and Fulani tribes.

Addressing journalists in Gombe, the Police Commissioner, Mr. Shina Tairu Olukolu, said Alhaji Umar got the information about the recovered stolen cows in the media, when one Alhaji Ahmadu Abdullahi, called his attention to the development.
