The governing party, All Progressives Congress, APC has drawn a workable mechanism to woo back its members that defected from the party.

A Member of the House of Representatives, from Taraba State, Hamman-Julde Garba-Chede made this known in Abuja, while reacting on the mass defection of lawmakers to the main opposition, Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP.

Mr. Garba-Chede said the mass defection which the governing party is witnessing has both political and personal under tune and was convinced that the defectors can be wooed back if proper mechanism was developed for their return.

“It is very unfortunate, as a member of the APC who knows the value of every individual in the party, I felt sad especially with the calibre of people living the party,” he stressed.

The lawmaker, who expressed confidence on the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, said he would work to support his victory in 2019.

“As far as I am concern I would ever remain a member of the APC and I will work towards President Muhammadu Buhari and my party, APC’s success in the coming elections,” Garba-Chede affirmed.

The lawmaker was reacting to the defection of the Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal to PDP.
