Governorship Election: APC triumphs in Nasarawa State

The All Progressive Congress APC Gubernatorial candidate Mr Abdullahi Audu Sule has been declared the winner in Nasarawa State.

The Returning Officer for the Governorship Election in the state Professor Abdullahi Bala, Vice Chancellor Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State made the declaration at the end of the collation exercise at the Independent National Electoral Commission Office in Lafia, Nasarawa state northcentral Nigeria.

The APC Aspirant Abdullahi Audu Sule won with a total Number of 327229 to defeat his closet contender of the People Democratic Party PDP Mr. David Ombugadu with a total score of 184281.

The APC won eleven out of the thirteen Local Government areas of the State while PDP and APGA won one local government area each respectively.

Reacting to the result, the party agent of APC, Aliyu Bello said the people have rewarded them of their efforts over the years. “we are not surprised at the result”. Also reacting to the result, the PDP agent, Mr. Yakubu Dauda, said the party will take a stand on the result while the APGA agent, Mr. Bala Moses John, said the election was marred by irregularities and voters apathy.
