Governorship election: No hitch in Yobe

By   Mohammed Husaini

The Governorship and State Assembly Election went without a hitch in Yobe State, North East Nigeria.

Voice of Nigeria Correspondent visited some polling units in Damaturu, the state capital and some special units relocated to Damaturu from areas affected by the Boko Haram insurgency. Some of the areas are: Buni yadi and Gujba.

However, there was general low voter turnout across the state when compared with the presidential and National assembly elections held on the 23rd of February 2019.

In the areas visited by Voice of Nigeria correspondent Mohammed Husaini  citizens were seen exercising their franchise without molestation or intimidation.
