Kano command of the Nigeria Police has given order for the restriction of movements across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state during the Saturday’s governorship supplementary election.
Spokesman of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna said vehicles, motorcycles and tricycles are not allowed to move in Kano between 6 a.m to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
“This is to inform the good people of Kano State that in order to achieve a free and fair gubernatorial supplementary election, there shall be restriction of movements in Kano State on 23/03/2019,” he stressed.
He advised eligible voters to trek to their various polling units, cast their votes and return appropriately.
“Eligible voters are advised to take a walk to their Polling Stations to perform their civic rights,” he advised.
He regretted all inconveniences caused by the restriction of movement on the day of the election.
